Cocoa Beach

Cocoa Beach
Coco Beach

The first thing poops in my mind
I Dream of Jeannie
A sit com comedy enshrined
About a beautiful genie

Now I live close
It is more about the beaches
And rocket launch shows
Plus the marinas

My sailboat is docked here
In Cape Canaveral Port
So close to the rocket roar
Sights and sounds to take to heart

It is where we go to the beach
Not far to roam
Easy to reach
So close to home

Great place to ride bicycles
We have a nice circuit
As long as we avoid vehicles
A tourist orbit

Chasing their cruise ships
Cars and buses rushing around
People heading on trips
They are hellbound

To go on vacation
But Cocoa Beach is my place
My fixation
A holiday to chase and embrace

I have many amenities
All in this one city
Including many memories
But most the beaches are pretty

Barometric Pressure Nightmare

This is my latest book. It is personal. I suffer greatly when the barometric pressure drops.

When the atmospheric pressure drops, it influences my body. The swollen tissue presses against my joints, making them very painful and difficult to move. My arthritis in the ankle and right and left legs from knee and hip replacements and my eleven blood clots make it even worse when the barometric pressure changes. Blood flow is reduced due to constricted veins, which result in dizziness and confusion. When this happens, I become lethargic, not wanting to talk or socialize. This leads to me becoming grumpy and gruff.

Barometric Pressure Nightmare

Where Have I Been

Where have I been
I do not know
Not trying to be mean
Just not with the flow

I have avoided my website
For the whole year
Was it a fight
Or not very dear

I had things to say
Writing a new book
Posting on Facebook each day
I did not look

Living life
Chasing a sailboat
A potential new wife
I did not promote

Myself
And my blog
Left all on the shelf
I feel like a dog

Pure laziness
No motivation
Almost craziness
It has to be frustration

With no audience
Not finishing my novel
It is obvious
I did grovel

Not doing my best
Scared and afraid
I did not pass the test
Or make the grade

But it is time
To start a coup
I can make life rhyme
And start anew

Write my novel routinely
Post on the website weekly
Create a feeling of serenely
Using my voice uniquely

Make it a passion
Write to my heart is content
Do not stop or ration
So I have nothing to lament

Alive

Alive

You are alive
Animated
A beehive
Exhilarated

Look at your face
You smile shines
Not a trace
Of worldly confines

Exciting
Titillating
Breathtaking
Electrifying

You captivate a room
So bubbly and fresh
A flower in bloom
Beaming outside your flesh

Everyone notices
They are drawn to your energy
Simply dazzling and amazes
Special mysterious alchemy

Your charm
Your power
Your presence
Your attractiveness

Everyone wants you
To steal your vigor
Because they are blue
Playing a fool and poor actor

You are spontaneous
So alive in your spirit
Your harmonious
With this grand merit

I want it too
Since I was fifteen
Constantly trying to renew
Feelings for a girl at fourteen

I have my chance
To suck her marrow
Maybe by happenstance
But I have climbed the plateau

And I am not coming down
To be a mere mortal
I am on here playground
And I too will be adorable

Bicycling in Savannah

Bicycling is the only way to get around Savannah. There are so many parks, shops, and restaurants. You are stopping and going frequently.

The parks are littered throughout the historical district are cool. I do not have a favorite park. but I like to cruise around all of them. Traffic is not terrible, just stay off the main one way streets and the main east to west street.

Restaurants are numerous and you have many choices. I like the ones on the river with a second floor balcony where you can look at the river. I eat seafood since I do not get any fresh seafood in Tennessee – shrimp, oysters, mussels, and clams.

There are a number of coffee shops, but sitting on the river is best. I am a sucker for Starbucks because they are convenient and consistent. I have found in traveling that most of the time that Starbucks are in prime locations.

Riding bicycles along the river is grand. I enjoy watching the gigantic ships move up and down the river. The air is cooler on the river, too.

Savannah is a great place to ride bicycles.
